Well, Chris & Katie left for Vegas at almost the exact time that Wyatt started puking on New Years Day morning. The plan was for Collier to head to Ponca with us for some fun with cousins, but we weren't really planning on sickness coming into play. Poor, sick Wy-Guy...
Fortunately, we were able to make it from Edmond to Ponca without any major messes in the car. Unfortunately, we were all about to get puking sick over the next few days. Here's Blake trying to sleep off the bug...puke bucket ready.
We pulled a mattress out in the living room at my parents' house to let the kids watch some 'toons and get some rest. We were all very proud of the girls for doing so well. We could have had a major mess on our hands with three kiddos under 4 puking in the same house, but the girls pulled through for us keeping their puke buckets handy. Since this was Wyatt's first experience with being so sick, he made a bit more of a mess than the girls. But all in all, they were all troopers.
Finally, near the end of our visit, everyone was feeling well enough to get outside. Here's a picture of Collier, Blake, Wyatt and Grandma dumping out some old popcorn for the birds to feed on in the back yard.

Blake, Collier and Grampy took a walk down to the bottoms (lower portion of my parents' back yard) pretending to fish, have a camp fire, and all sorts of other fun. Here's a cute pic of Grampy and Blake.

Well, it almost seemed a waste to go visit everyone and end up being sick the whole time, but if you ask me, I was glad to get the sickness done and over with since there was plenty of help nearby :) I've done the whole everyone-in-the-house-is-sick-but-Mom-still-has-to-care-for-everyone routine, and I was SO happy for all the help from my mom and dad. We sort of took turns taking care of the kids as we each got sick. Somehow my dad was the only one to dodge the bullet, but he did have a pretty bad cough most of the time. Fun, fun, fun...right?!
