Naughty & Ice

Let's start this off informing you that we put Blake in a "time out" chair whenever she is acting up. She usually goes several days without ever having to be put into time out, but she was pushing the envelope a little more than normal last week. Lauren usually tells Blake that she's being naughty and has to sit in the time out chair. Friday morning Lauren went to get Blake out of her crib. She wanted to take Teddy and Dolly with her (she sleeps with a teddy bear and a doll). First Blake walked them over to the couch and set them down next to one of her blankets and said, "O...night, night". Violet (the dog) was already on the couch.
Then she left Dolly on the couch and carried Teddy and Violet into the back room and set them on the time out chair and scolded them, "NAUGHTY"...and wagged her little finger at them. So, I guess she gets it :)

Blake is also seemingly missing getting to hang out with her cousin Collier. When we first got back from Oklahoma, Blake brought me one of her cloth diapers that we had also used on Collier and she said, "Collier". Blake and Collier both LOVE Sonic's ice. So the other day when I was pouring some ice into a cup, Blake said, "Momma ice" and "want Collier". So, I guess that's what our little kiddo remembers about her cousin - sharing cloth diapers and ice.

Well, speaking of ice, here are a few pics from Lauren's day out skiing with some friends. Here's Lauren and her college roommate, Tiff.

And, here's just a pic of Lauren hanging out on the slopes.

It was tons of fun, so hopefully, we'll be able to make time to do it again at the end of this year or the beginning of next. And maybe Suzi, Randy, Jess, Kyle and even possibly Vic & Trav could tag along...hint, hint ;)

At Grandma & Grampy's

Lauren & Blake spent last week in Oklahoma with Lauren's parents. Of course, we got TONS of pictures. When Lauren told Blake that they were going to see Grandma & Grandpa, Blake said, "Grandma & Grampy, yeah". So, it is now Grandma & Grampy :) ENJOY all the pics! Here's Blake chasing bubbles.
Blowing bubbles with Grandma

Grampy has a cool bubble gun!

Bubbles inside?! Only for grandkids...we would have gotten yelled at if we did this when we were little.

This is about the extent of Blake's naps for the week. Pretty much all of her naps were in Grandma's arms.

We were going to go to the zoo, but we decided not to since we figured it would be packed over Spring Break. Turns out we didn't need to go to the zoo. We saw a bunch of wild turkeys in Grandma & Grampy's back yard. We also saw a fox. Take a look at this bad boy.

Sorry for those of you who we may have missed on our trip. Lauren was a little under the weather at the beginning of the week, and we had planned to hang with Chris, Katie & Collier at the end of the week. At any rate, we had to leave Oklahoma to get to some decent weather ;) Here's a picture of what it looked like outside the day our flight left.

Hope all is well with everyone, and we hope you enjoyed the mass of pictures!!!

Scratches & Coughs

Well, it's a good thing we had such a fantastic week last week because the weekend was not so spectacular...for Blake anyway. First off, Blake was running around in her diaper while Lauren was putting clothes in the dryer. As usual, she just HAD to help. In the process of helping, she somehow lost her balance and fell across the corner of the open dryer door (front loading dryer). Here is the result:

Saturday morning Lauren got up early with Blake and could tell that her voice sounded a little funny. Lauren went skiing with some friends while Bob watched our little kiddo. Skiing was GREAT!!! But, Lauren came home to a very, very, sick little girl. Blake had pretty much lost her voice by Sunday evening, and she had a horrible cough. She seems to be getting a little better today, so we may not have to make a trip to the doc on this one...keeping our fingers crossed. Needless to say, Blake hasn't been up to much except watching movies and napping. She's finally started to show interest in food again today, so that's good. Anyway, here's a pic of Blake on her fold out couch sucking her thumb and watching Cars (of course).

Hope the week is starting off much better for everyone else. Best of wishes to all.

Just a Fun Day

WHAT A GREAT DAY!!! It is just absolutely gorgeous here today! Lauren & Blake decided to head into Billings to get Blake her very first hair cut and do some shopping. They were going to hit up the zoo, but the stuffed animals at Cabela's & Scheel's sort of made up for that. The zoo would have been cheaper, though :) Here's a pic from last week. Notice Blake carrying one of the most prized possessions...the iTouch. Thanks again for the clothes, Rene!
Here's our little missy before her first hair cut today.

And, here's the after picture. It's so nice that there's a place like this around here. Blake didn't want to leave. She got to watch the Disney movie Ratatouille while she was being pampered :)

She even got a free sports bottle out of the deal. She was pretty pumped!

She also got a little certificate with a sample of hair from her first hair cut. Do people really keep these?! What is she going to want a piece of her hair for when she gets older? Just seems a little odd, but it's a nice gesture.

After the hair cut, we went to Cabela's to score on a sweet deal on life jackets...and look at all the animals. There is a big elk right as you first walk in. Blake wasn't too sure what to think about it at first but then she got this look on her face as if she had it all figured out and said, "horse". Daddy might have to work on that one with her before they go hunting...they could get into some serious trouble :) Blake also enjoyed looking at the big tank of fish and the little waterfall. We hit up Scheel's (another sports/outdoors store) before we headed home. Blake picked out a cool Nalgene water bottle (it has a sippy cup spout). And, we got her all outfitted for next winter. The really nice coats and bibs are extremely cheap this time of year, so we always try to buy ahead. What's really cool about this set is that it has this "grow with sunice" feature (sunice is the brand name). There is a "grow" stitch on the inside of each sleeve and pant leg that can be removed to add up to 2" of length...pretty neat! Here's the toddler Nalgene bottle.

She'll be stylin' next year with these bibs...

...and this matching coat.

Well as usual, hope all is well with everyone! We are so excited to have all this nice weather this week!!!
