We took a trip over to Uncle Gene and Aunt JoAnn's house in North Dakota for Labor Day weekend. Bob, of course, spent most of his time out fishing with Gene while JoAnn, the kids and I made our fun around the house and even took a trip to the zoo one day. As usual, I have a ton of pics, so here goes:
Wyatt and Gene
Blake & Copa playing in the bird bath
North Dakota S'mores
It rained a little bit one morning, so the kids managed to find the one mud puddle to play in.One evening the guys took us out on the boat to do a little fishing. Wyatt's usually just in to boat rides for the snacks ;)

One of the days the guys were out fishing, we had a little picnic lunch out in Gene & JoAnn's front yard. Here's a sweet looking Wy-Guy......and Blake showing off her lunchable.
As I had already mentioned, we took a road trip over to Bismarck, ND to go to the Dakota Zoo one day. The kids had a blast walking around, playing and checking out all the animals. Here's a pic of Wyatt with a donkey in the background.
a really cool white tiger
There were four grizzly bears in one of the exhibits, and they were mighty playful. Here are two of the rambunctious bears playing in the water.

JoAnn bought the kids these little animal head grabbers. They had a blast playing with them. Blake slept with hers for several nights and even took it to her first show-and-tell at preschool this year. She actually missed the first day of school while we were on this trip, but we made it home for her to start her first day on the second day of class. Blake posing with her white tiger.
Wyatt kissing his bear.
There were two different monkey/ape exhibits right next to each other at the zoo. Both sets of animals were from the Minot, ND zoo which had to relocate all it's animals due to the flooding last year. These Siamang and the neighboring Lar Gibbon were a riot! They were putting on quite the show seemingly making music and dancing/swinging around. It was really neat, and the kids had a blast watching and listening.
Just a cute picture of how wonderfully messy my little Wy-Guy can be
I tried to get a picture of JoAnn, Gene and the kids but as you can see, we didn't quite ever get everyone to look at the camera at the same time. And poor Gene was wrestling a fidgety Wyatt. Oh well, this is the best one we got.
We had a blast getting to hang out, and we hope you all had as great of a Labor Day weekend!
