Pip Sqeak & Pretty in Pink

Wyatt was a bit on the small side at his 3 week well baby check, so the pediatrician told Lauren to pump an extra ounce after each feeding and offer it to Wyatt after each consecutive feeding. Sounds super easy with a two year old running around, right?! At any rate, Lauren tried and just couldn't pump enough (getting less than 1/4 ounce in 20 min. is a little defeating). Lauren finally decided to just switch over to formula. Thankfully, Wyatt started acting more content and was spitting up less, so we were pretty confident that he'd gain some weight. Our little pip squeak had his weight check yesterday and weighed in at 7 pounds 12 ounces. He gained a full pound in a week! He's still under the fifth percentile, but we don't have to go back to the doc until his next well baby check at two months. He's sleeping much better, too.
Blake thinks it's pretty funny to wear our shoes. Here she is in Lauren's house shoes.
After Wyatt's weight check yesterday, we went to the mall to get Blake some hair clips. She picked out some pony clips, butterfly clips, flower clips and Mom picked out some plain ones. Blake also picked out two new nail polish colors. Here she is showing off her orange pony clip and neon pink nail polish - Lauren tried talking Blake out of the neon pink but Blake was determined to be pretty in pink.
a better look at the orange pony clip as she's kissing the Valentine Mickey Mouse that daddy got her
Our tiny guy is finally big enough to wear his Valentine jammies from Grandma & Grampy.

Surely all who have a boy have a similar story, but Lauren just had to share this one: While changing Wyatt, Lauren stepped to the side to toss some dirty clothes in the laundry basket. She looked back just in time to see a fountain of pee clear Wyatt's head and hit the wall behind him. The stream then slowly weakend hitting the window, Wyatt's head, changing pad and finished up on his leg - BOYS!

Blake really seems to enjoy getting her toe nails and finger nails painted, but maybe not as much as Lauren. Explanation: Blake is a LOUD child. She talks all day long and is usually louder than just a normal conversation voice. BUT, when Lauren is painting Blake's nails she is absolutely silent. It took Lauren nearly 20 minutes to do Blake's finger nails ;) We may have to make this a part of our daily routine! Blake has also started to show interest in her potty training again, so we are hitting it hard today and will continue through the weekend since we don't really have any plans. Here's hoping she'll get back into the habit of letting us know she's gotta go.
