Blabbering Girly

Well, Blake sure likes to blabber now that she has discovered that she can produce several different consenant and vowel sounds. If you just heard her from a distance, you would swear that she was carrying on a conversation with herself, Dolly, the dogs...whomever. We're also starting to wonder if she isn't getting ready to start teething. She has really been strumming her fingers and thumbs across her gums...much harder than normal. And, she keeps having random little episodes of being irritated, which really isn't too normal for her. We'll just wait and see. Lauren is back to work tomorrow, so she went through and edited the video footage from the weekend. Sorry to post such long clips, but it's much easier to put all the little highlight clips together into one larger video. You'll get to hear some of her new noises, and you'll get to see her new found joy of sucking on her bottom lip while she's eating. She used to be a very clean/neat little eater, but now, she gets her food everywhere...you'd think it would have been the other way around. Also, you may hear the dogs eating/drinking in the background of the video. Copa always starts eating and/or drinking when we feed Blake, which makes it hard to feed Blake because she is watching the dogs. Otherwise, little Blake really grabs onto objects. Today she held a USB bluetooth adapter (it was in its packaging) for Lauren the whole time they were in Best Buy. She didn't even let go of it for the poor guy to scan it at the counter. He had to use the handheld scanner to ring it up. She's just such a little helper! Blake also kept making "A" sounds when she would see Copa today. It was really weird because Lauren always talks to Blake and tells her Copa and/or Maddie when the dogs are in sight. Three times today Blake made an "A" sound (like the end of Copa) when she saw Copa; and the third time she said "O...A". She didn't do it anytime Maddie came up to her. Not sure if she's actually making the connection or if it's just coincidental, but it's pretty entertaining at any rate. She doesn't do that with "ma" or "da" yet...I guess we know where we rate :)

You just wait...little girls never stop talking!!! I just can't believe how much she looks more like you (brune) every time I see her. A blast from the past...Kyle set up a Facebook account to talk with his sister, and Tiff added him as a friend to her page. I wrote her a note and she sent one back and we said we have to meet up with you and Suz in Billings sometime. Of course with all of our schedules that sometime could be this summer, but we'll see. Hope work is going OK and that you're not crazy busy. Hugs to Blake. Love, Jess
