Home At Last!!!

Blake finished up her phototherapy sessions today at 8 a.m. We had to stick around the hospital until around 2 p.m. to make sure her bili levels weren't going to sky-rocket again. Little Blake is enjoying her new swaddling blanket that Grandma got for her, and she seems to be quite content to finally spend some time at home.

Discharged...and back to the hospital

We were discharged from the hospital on the 7th. But we had to go in on the 8th for another bilirubin test. Little Blake's bili level was too high, so we were admitted to the pediatrics unit at the hospital for more phototherapy. Daddy found the time between phototherapy sessions to comfort Blake.

Still in Recovery

Grandma and Blake were able to spend some quality time together while we were in the hospital.
Little Blake is just so precious!!!

The proud papa shows off his new baby girl.

Blake's First Day in the Hospital

Grandpa DeCoteau, Great-Grandma DeCoteau, and Joyce came up to the hospital to meet Baby Blake.
Grandma and Uncle Chris were also able to catch a flight up to Billings to visit on the 6th. Blake was a little jaundice, so she was given some phototherapy while we were in recovery.

Blake's Birthday

Blake Marie DeCoteau - 7 pounds 1 ounce - 20.5 inches

Blake finally made it into the world August 5th at 9:54 a.m. Both Bob and Lauren are happy to announce that she seems to be a happy, healthy little girl.

Thank you to everyone who called and left messages and those who were thinking of us! We will try to get back to everyone this week.

More Ultrasound Pictures

As you probably read below, Lauren had a second ultrasound done today. She is currently a little over 34 weeks along now. The doctor wanted to take a second look because he thought Blake might be a little larger than preferred; but it turns out she is fairly normal sized, and we ended up with the chance to get a better look at her. Lauren thinks little Blake already resembles her Daddy, but time will tell. And, YES, that is a foot in her face in the second picture. I guess the living quarters are starting to get a little tight for her.

We hope this finds everyone doing well, and we can't wait to show off the real little girl anytime now within the next 6 weeks!!!

Second Ultrasound

Lauren had her second ultrasound today. The doctor was concerned that little Blake might not be so little, but it turns out she's doing fine. Blake is currently around five and a half pounds, and she should be somewhere between eight and a half to nine pounds at birth. This is the first attempt at posting a video, so hopefully this works out all right. There isn't much sound, but you should be able to hear the heartbeat when it gets to that part of the ultrasound. The video is only about 3 minutes long. It was just recorded to a set time of 5 minutes. ENJOY!!!
