Pizza Hut

It has finally started to get cold in our neck of the woods, so we haven't been doing a whole lot outside (except shoveling snow).  Bob got a new ice auger, so he's been out fishing a few times and is enjoying the cold weather.  Lauren could deal with the cold a little better if it would get above 20 degrees and if the wind would quit blowing so hard ;)  BUT, she is looking forward to hitting the slopes a few times this year.

Here's a random, cute picture of our little, flexible Buzz (Wyatt wearing Buzz Lightyear jammies) giving his daddy kisses.
We have to share this "Blake" story:  A few weeks ago Lauren was in a rush to get Blake to preschool.  On the way Blake says, "Mom, it's fun to say jackasses!"  Lauren was a little shocked and still in a hurry (no time for explanations as to why you shouldn't say that word) so she said, "Really?!  I think it's fun to just say Jack."  Blake:  "Jack. jack. jack.  Yeah, me too!"  She hasn't said the word again, so I guess we've avoided that one for now.  We're still not really sure where she heard it (probably evening television).  Lauren will admit to slipping on the language in front of Blake before, but that's just not a word she says.  Maybe it's just because she's related to her Aunt Shell ;)

Despite the sub-zero temps, Blake still had preschool on Thursday.  They took a field trip to our local Pizza Hut where they got to make their very own pizza.  Needless to say, she had a blast.  Lauren tagged along with Wyatt, so we got an extra pizza thinking that Wyatt would eat too much of Blake's.  Well Lauren was wrong on that front, but it was a good thing we got an extra one because Blake ended up eating all of her's AND half of Wyatt's!!!  Here's the hungry girl posing with her pizza.
After we got done at Pizza Hut, we had a fun filled "inside" day.  Blake absolutely LOVES playing the board game Candy Land...
...and she also loves to paint.
As previously mentioned it has been cold here, but Wednesday was SERIOUSLY cold!  The wind chill was down to -32 degrees and that was at 11 o'clock in the morning!  Thank goodness the temperatures have finally gotten above zero again.  Well, that about it for us right now.  We will celebrate Wyatt's first birthday this evening when Daddy gets home from work...more on that later.  But, we'll leave you with a video of Blake singing the Pizza Hut song.
