Our dogs, Copa & Maddie, both gained around 5-10 pounds each when Blake started eating solid foods. Neither dog has really lost the weight, and by the looks of it, they are ready to gain some more. Copa stays especially close to the action.
Wyatt gets into EVERYTHING! Here he is exploring the Christmas tree and all the ornaments he can reach. Because Wyatt is such a grabby little guy, we have been teaching him "no-no". He understands, and he usually at least acknowledges you before he continues doing whatever it was that you told him no to. Lauren took the opportunity the other day when he was continually getting into something that she kept telling him "no" to and smacked his little hand to see if that would help him to discontinue the action. Unfortunately, it had absolutely NO effect on him whatsoever - no reaction, didn't phase him one bit!
Since Wyatt doesn't really stay in one place any more, we have created his own little play area. The extra space has really helped him to start getting his rear up off the ground when he crawls, and he has even started to pull himself up. Hmmm...maybe this wasn't such a good idea ;)
What a great pic, huh?! Drool and boogs all in one. And yes, the whole front of his shirt is wet from his own drool...pretty sure there are more teeth coming. He currently has four on top and four on bottom.
Wyatt loves taking toys out of their bins and putting them back. He's pretty impressed with his skills. Sometimes he even claps for himself.
Little Missy is pretty excited about Christmas. She has been singing Christmas songs and cuddling her Rudolf quite a bit lately.
We took the kids to Zoo Montana to see the Zoo Lights and visit Santa. This has got to be one of the worst Santa pics we've seen, but it's what we got :) Wyatt is sporting the new bunting that Lauren made for him, though.
Now for a few stories to break up the pics: Lauren took Blake & Wyatt out to the Olive Garden to eat dinner with some good friends. Lauren happened to get there first, so she went ahead and got a table. As soon as Lauren got the kids all set, Blake grabs the wine glasses off the table, clinks them together (quite loud) and yells, "CHEERS!" Ahhh...the joys of taking the kids out in public. Blake continued to entertain the room we were in with her boisterous chatter and no-fear-everyone-is-my-friend attitude. Wyatt was not to be outdone. When the waitress would come to check on us, she would typically stand right next to him. He kept grabbing at things in her apron pocket...at first without her knowledge. It was so funny to watch him!
Lauren finally made Wyatt's stocking. Here is the best picture of the design...it wasn't quite finished at this point.
And here it is finished and hanging up with the rest of the fam.
Blake's preschool class put on a Christmas program (see video of singing below). Lauren snapped this shot of her after the program was over.
A VERY special visitor came to visit the kids afterwards. Blake got to sit on his lap, tell him what she wanted for Christmas (a bicycle?! she can't make up her mind) and he even gave her a bag of candy!
Wyatt got his THIRD hair cut yesterday. So at 11 months old, this boy has already had three hair cuts - CRAZY!!! Here is a before pic...
...and the after pic! What a handsome little man?! He looks so much older, too :(
Blake tagged along for the hair cut and just had to touch the Christmas decorations that were outside.
Mr. Man just moved up to the 3T Columbia jacket that Blake can actually still wear. Guess we got Blake a new jacket just in time for Wyatt to take over her old one!
Wyatt had his first ice cream today. Now, this is what he looks like when you won't give him as much as he wants...
...he was ticked off that Lauren would not give him more!!! But since he was weighing in at 27 pounds the last time Lauren weighed him, it's probably better that he have sweets in moderation ;) In other Wyatt news, he has completely ditched the bottle and has moved on to whole milk. Lauren just started giving him milk in a sippy cup versus the formula in a bottle one day, and he was fine...hasn't had a bottle since. Even Blake wasn't that easy! It's probably a good change though because he seems to be drinking less calories and eating just as many calories (with a lot less spit-up). So, we might see our little guy start to level off in the weight department. Well, that's about it for now. Hope all is well with everyone!
