A Little Creativity

Lauren has had some creative juices flowing lately...mainly problem solving on a budget.  Wyatt has had a heck of a time (for several months now) keeping his appendages INSIDE the crib.  Lauren is constantly getting up throughout the nights to dislodge his legs from between the slats.  Finally, she decided to create a bigger, better crib bumper than what we had before - TAH-DAH!!!  And, after Bob discovered that we could tie it up to the top rail in places...we are happy to report that it is working WONDERFULLY!  YAY for more sleep ;)

It has been getting pretty cold here, and Wyatt had outgrown his bunting.  So, Lauren made a pattern off of the old one, and once again - TAH-DAH!!!  There are even built in "gloves".  Basically, a bit of fabric folds over the end of each sleeve to cover his hands.  Material cost was about $4, so it was probably worth the 5 hours of cutting, sewing and thinking that it took to accomplish.  The hood on it ended up being a little too big, but it works.
