When she walked into her classroom, she got a sticker name tag for her shirt and one to put on her desk.
Here she is sitting at her desk.
playing with a toy
The first day went well. She was really excited to go, and here's what she reported back:
- A boy helped me go down the slide.
- I scraped my knee.
- Mrs. Pettis put this (pointing to scotch tape) on my toy (a stop sign she made in class).
- I had ice cream for a snack.
- My first day at school is really fun out to the park. (They get to play on a playground)
Blake woke up this morning and wasn't as excited to go to pre-school. Lauren told her that she could go to preschool today and Blake's response was, "no, how about next Friday?" She was happy to sit in Wyatt's rocking chair and hold him, though. Here's our two precious babes.
Wyatt weighed in at 25.4 pounds today with his clothes and diaper on, so he's probably somewhere right around 25 pounds or so. Blake still weighs 33. Wyatt is HUGE!!! He now wears 2T clothes; he's getting too big for size 4 diapers (we never used bigger than a 5 with Blake); and he's not even 8 months old yet. WOW!
Lauren eventually convinced Blake that preschool would be fun, and that she could wear her "Jessie hair". Blake wants to be Jessie from Toy Story for Halloween. So her new favorite thing is to have her ponytail braided like Jessie's. When Blake got to her classroom, she picked out a toy and took it to her desk to play. Here's a pic of Blake before her second day.
The only report from preschool today was, "I had fun [at] preschool!" Lauren eventually got Blake to mention that she had yogurt for a snack. It's just so crazy that our little girl is tackling her first year of preschool!
