Big Boy

Our little guy is seemingly turning out to be quite a big boy for his age. We'll see how he measures up at his 4 month appointment later this month. Since we kinda missed his 3 month update (spent more time trying to get his pictures taken), here's what Wyatt's up to at 3 months:

He is unofficially 15 lbs. 13 oz. - Blake was 14 lbs. 6 oz. at FOUR months
He is now wearing 9 month clothes
He loves to say "ma" and has started giggling
He is still a flirt - he gives big smiles when you talk to him
And, he has started trying to roll over (see pic below). Wyatt actually rolled over 3 different times in the first 3 weeks of life but hasn't done it since.
Wyatt is also VERY strong compared to what Blake was like at 3 months. Sometimes it's a battle to keep the bottle in his mouth because he bats at it so hard it knocks it out of your hands. He does use his strength to give bigs hugs too, though. If you put your arm across his chest, he will hug it really tight - very cute...to his Mom anyway ;) Here's a pic of our little man holding on to the bottle during a feeding (something else Blake didn't do until she was 4 months old).

As we already mentioned, Wyatt is in 9 month clothes. Here's a pic of him (at 3 months old) in a sleeper that Blake also wore...
...now here's a picture of Blake in that same sleeper. She was 7 months old when this fit her! Not sure if boys are just that much bigger than girls at this age, but it looks like Wyatt is shaping up to be much bigger than Blake.
We also scored an OU jogging suit set on our shopping spree at the second hand store the other day. Here's Wyatt showing it off.

Wyatt's a pretty vocal little guy. Here he is talking to us.
Wyatt is similar to his sister in the pooping department, though. Blake used to have trouble pooping, but she would usually go once a day. Wyatt goes about once every other day, and he does it with style! Pretty much every poopy diaper requires a full outfit change and an immediate load of laundry to be done. He is the king of blowouts! We will definitely be talking with the doctor about this at his 4 month checkup.

Now for Blake, at two years and nine months here's what's going on in her world:
She loves to sing songs - Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, The Wheels on the Bus, Old MacDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider are among her favorites
Blake counts to 10 consistently and is working her way to 20 now
She knows several shapes (circle, oval, diamond, heart, star), but she still has trouble with square, rectangle and triangle
She is really good with her colors - she's had those mastered for a while now
She has started singing the alphabet and is good at the beginning and the end, but struggles in the middle
She talks a TON...here are some of her new phrases:
Dokie, dokie (laughs). Why Grandma Grampy say dokie dokie like that? (more laughter)
Winner, chicken dinner (Bob was saying winner, winner, chicken dinner one night)
See ya...alligator (she usually forgets to say later)
Dang it!
