Reality Check

We just got back yesterday from a great visit to Oklahoma - see the next five posts that cover all our Oklahoma fun. As always, we sort of have a reality check with Blake when we get back, and now Wyatt gets to experience this as well. First off, the flights home were not as smooth as the two heading out. Wyatt screamed at the beginning and end of both flights and Blake was having issues listening to Mom. At the very end of the last flight, Wyatt decided to spit up all over the front of Lauren. While driving home, Wyatt screamed the entire way to the house. Lauren later found that he had a major blow out in his diaper that even went up his back! Blake did alright until we pulled off of the interstate. She started scraming at Lauren, "I no wanna go to your house...I wanna go Grandma Grampy's house!" Ah...the joys of travelling with the wee ones :) Blake again requested this morning (several times) to go to Grandma & Grampy's house, but she finally gave up on asking (for today anyway). Instead, she decided to go through the unpacked bags and get her headphones and iPod...probably just to tune out Mom.
Wyatt sporting some 6 month jammies. He's a growing little boy. In fact, he wore a sleeper one of the first nights we were in Oklahoma that fit fine. By the time we left, that same sleeper was too little for him!
Another part of the reality check of coming home is that our temperatures are a good 40 degrees cooler right now than at Grandma & Grampy's. Blake does seem to understand this, though. While flying home, Lauren told Blake that we could go for walks at home, too (going for walks is a favorite at Grandma & Grampy's). Blake responded, "go walk in snow?!" She was right. Here's just a taste of the snow that we got today.
Wyatt still likes to nap with something covering his face. Here's our weird child napping on the couch today. Can you see where the baby is?!
Sorry to slam everyone with six posts in one day. This one and the following five posts are all new. Hope you enjoy all the pics!
