Otherwise, things here are going pretty well. Blake still jabbers up a storm, and we're starting to be able to distinguish more words...it's more like a string of sounds that seem to be similar to something that we know she has heard. But, we're calling them words for now. A funny story from yesterday: Blake and Lauren were out on the front porch when one of our neighbors came over to see Blake. This particular neighbor has a little white dog (he looks a lot like Clancy if you remember the Lockwoods' dog). Anyway, Blake started in with her "dog dog...ruff ruff" routine that she does when she sees dogs or hears them barking. As we were chatting, we told Blake several times that the dog's name was Elmer. After the neighbor left, Blake was standing in the doorway talking to Lauren through the screen door, and she said, "Elmer...ruff ruff". It was hilarious! What's really funny is that Blake has been saying Copa a lot lately. She says, "Copa...ruff ruff". It's too cute. Well, here's a little video from the last week. We've been reading Moo, Baa, La La La before bedtime. Blake likes to read without us sometimes...you'll see in the video. It's funny to hear her say some of the words from the book as she's reading. You also might be able to hear her say Copa. She pointed to the cow on the last page in the book the other day and said, "Copa". Copa is black & white kinda like a cow, so we may have issues with her understanding what a cow is. We don't have too much for Holstein cattle around here. Anyway, you'll see in the video that Blake is becoming quite the little ham :o)

What a cute story! Tell Blake to give Elmer a hello from us down here. So, how was 4 kids for the day?!?! It's actually nice when they can entertain each other. It doesn't seem like so much work. I'm trying to plan a trip up there next month to do some shopping. Will you guys be around the weekend of the 19th or 26th? I haven't talked to Suz yet. Hugs, Jess
