Two Months Old

Blake is officially two months old! Funny...it actually seems like it has been longer than that. But, that could be a product of the lack of sleep. Speaking of, Blake was a little fussy last night and Bob was nice enough to take care of her through the night and let Lauren sleep. It must have been a pretty rough one for everybody because this is what the scene was this morning. You can even see Maddie sleeping on the floor next to Bob...it was quite the sight!

Another Blake story from yesterday, we were getting ready to change/feed Blake and Lauren set her down on the changing table, turned around to grab a diaper, and when she turned back around she found Blake already fast asleep. It was hilarious! She went from screaming for food to sleeping in .2 seconds.

Bob and his dad are going to go fishing next weekend, so his dad and grandma decided to come down early and hang out with his aunt Joyce. They stopped by to see Blake yesterday, and we got some pretty good pictures. Blake sure got a kick out of Aunt Joyce.

And she even gave her great-grandma DeCoteau some smiles.

Blake is really starting to be able to keep her head steady and hold it up much more. She still does the occasional nose dive into your chest when you're trying to get her to hold her head up, though. She is also starting to add some consenant sounding noises to the vowel ones (oo's, ah's, etc.) that she has been making for quite some time.

She still likes to rest her head on daddy's chest even though she can hold her head up if she wants to. It's pretty cute to see such a little girl cuddling with Bob.

Well, we're finding it very difficult to get pictures posted during the week, so you may find that we post pictures from the week on Friday and then from the same weekend on that Sunday. We hope everyone is doing well, and we can't wait to actually introduce Blake in person to everyone at some point. Lauren is off to visit her friend Jess and her new baby boy, Beckett, this weekend while Bob goes fishing. And, she hopes to plan a visit to the Oklahoma area sometime next year. Unfortunately, she probably won't be able to make it any sooner than that. Best wishes to all!
