Happy late 4th of July to everyone!!! Hope it was a fun and safe holiday for all. We had a great time at the local parade and had some of the DeCoteau side of the family over for a BBQ. It was so great to get to hang out and visit with everyone. Here's a pic of Blake being sweet and holding her brothers hands and playing with him.
Blake right before the parade started
Wyatt got to ride in his favorite mode of transportation, the Ergo baby carrier, and Blake rode in the stroller. We walked down to main street for the parade. Here's Wyatt hangin' with Mom.
Blake got a little flag to wave. She had to sleep with it that evening :)
Our parade is pretty spectacular as far as Blake is concerned. First, she got an icy pop.
Wyatt, on the other hand, decided to sleep. I promise, he's under that hood.
Secondly, Blake got ANOTHER "poxer" and a necklace. The parade pretty much ROCKS in her mind.
Blake is pretty serious about her poxers.
This was by far the best driver in the antique car section of the parade.
Wyatt's 4th of July outfit
Unfortunately, Bob didn't hike down to the parade with us. This was his seat while we were gone.
Bob had his post-op appointment today. They split the cast. Wyatt and I waited outside the room while the saw was running. Wyatt's kind of a sensitive guy ;) Everything looked good, so he'll have a cast for at least another 4 weeks when he goes back in. Bob had been joking the last couple weeks that they never asked him at the surgery center what color of cast he wanted because he wanted pink, not blue. Well, he got his wish today when they re-casted it. Real men wear pink, right?! He swears that it's his favorite walleye fishing lure color. At any rate, Blake absolutely LOVED it!!!
Well, all the fun yesterday must have REALLY wore Blake out. This morning when she finally took a bath at 10 a.m. she requested to "put jammies on and watch cartoons". So, Blake wore jammies all day today. She finally crashed on her daddy this evening on the couch and was transported to bed without even waking up.
