PC - Part 3

Grandma just had to get the cousins matching sweaters so we could get some pictures. Here's a few that we took at the house and down in front of City Hall. Blake & Collier really kept each other entertained. It was surprising to see them have so much fun since they are at very different stages - Collier is six months old and Blake is fourteen months old. Blake kept petting Collier on the head like she does to our dogs, though...too cute.Collier, Grandma & BlakeAnd, here's one of Blake out in front of City Hall.

PC - Part 2

Chris & Katie got Blake the cutest little outfit complete with a little pair of Converse shoes, so we had to take pictures...of course. Here's Grandma & Blake.Grandma, Grandpa & BlakeBlake loves to grab your hand and lead you around the house, yard, whatever. Grandpa was a good sport and let Blake walk him everywhere.Blake thought all the big leaves in the front yard were just too cool. She carried them around with her when she was outside. She even brought a few in the house as well :)Blake had a great time exploring at Grandma & Grandpa's. She had tons of room to run around. We had great weather while we were there, so she played outside quite a bit.

Another PC Visit

Blake & Lauren got the chance to go visit Grandma & Grandpa in Ponca City last week. They got to hang out for six days, but as always it seemed way too short. We got a ton of pictures while we were there, so it looks like the trip is going to be broken into four posts. Sorry to slam the blog all at once, but we just didn't have the time to do any posting while we were there. We managed to make a trip to Stillwater last Thursday to hit Eskimo Joe's before the big weekend on campus. Blake has been there once before, but this time she got to have some cheese fries :) She loved them!Uncle Chris, Aunt Katie & Cousin Collier all came down to visit over the weekend. Grandma made sure that the babes got their baths.

SNOW?!

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DADDY!!! Today is Bob's birthday - HOORAY!

Here's Blake showing off some new kicks and another new winter cap that she got this past week. The hat doesn't stay on too long if it's not tied :)
We woke up to 20 degree temps and snowfall this morning, so Blake & Lauren decided to welcome the weather with a trip out to the back yard. Here's our little cutie talking to the dogs before getting her coat on.
And, here she is out in the snow. She hit some uneven ground early on and took a nose dive into a pile of snow. Lauren was afraid that might ruin the chance for any good pics, but Blake picked herself up and continued talking to the dogs. She really loves the dogs. She even gives them hugs and kisses whenever they stand still long enough :)

Blake's nose & cheeks were a little red when we came in from the cold. We weren't outside very long. In fact, Blake wasn't really ready to come in...she was having fun playing and talking to the dogs. She's such a goober!
Hopefully, everyone is staying nice and warm. It looks like we'll get above freezing early next week sometime.

PUMPKINS!!!

OK, so we've updated the blog quite a bit this week, but we just had to post some more pics. The first one is just of our goofy kiddo. Blake was singing and dancing in her little play area yesterday afternoon.Aunt Joyce, Grandpa DeCoteau and Great-Grandma DeCoteau came over this morning to hang out and visit with Blake. Here's Grandpa & Blake.

We decided to take Blake out to the pumpkin patch this afternoon to help us pick out a couple good pumpkins. We ended up getting three pretty good sized pumpkins that should be great for making pumpkin seeds and carving. Blake got to ride in a wagon on the way out to the patch.

We had to get a massive pumpkin, so we can take even more pictures with Blake. Here's the big one that won the honors of a trip to the DeCoteau house.
Hope all is well with everyone. We're enjoying this awesome weather, but it looks like we're supposed to get rain/snow tomorrow...YUCK!

Dogs, Swingin' and More Park Fun

Yesterday Lauren bought two harnesses, a two dog connector, and a hefty leash in hopes that she would be able to walk both dogs and push Blake in the stroller at the same time. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, right?! Amazingly, WRONG! Our dogs are pretty well behaved, and they listen well - not that we would be biased or anything :o) Anyway, Lauren got the whole crew together this morning and walked down to the park. They took a ball to play with the dogs, and of course, Blake got to play in the playground. It was in the upper 50's/lower 60's, so we were kinda bundled up. Here's Blake sitting in the grass watching the dogs."DOOOOOOOG!" That's what Blake yells when she sees the dogs now. She has reverted back to the word "dog" lately, but she does say "Copa" and "Maddie", too. I'm not too sure why all of a sudden they are both "dog" again. O WELL!Here's our cutie practicing some walking on a little more uneven ground than she is used to.She kept trying to get the ball so that she could throw it for the dogs. Both dogs are really patient with her and don't take the ball away from her. You can tell that they really want her to hurry up and throw it though. It's pretty entertaining.Sometimes Blake just tries to hand the ball to the dogs. Again, neither one of them will actually take it out of her hand. They both just usually look at us like why is this little thing trying to tempt me to do something I know I can't do.The dogs got a little tuckered out after playing ball for a while, and they just plopped down by Blake. They were even letting her crawl around on them a little bit. Blake thought it was great. Here's an action shot of our pups playing fetch. Well, Copa plays fetch, and Maddie herds Copa.Another pic of Blake going after the ballThis was Blake's first time on a swing set. She had a blast. The dogs kept walking under her while she was swinging, so her feet would hit them every once in a while. She thought that was the coolest thing ever. What a weirdo! Not to brag too much, but we are REALLY proud of our pups...Copa, especially. As soon as she figured out that she was attached to Maddie, she really took charge and made Maddie go where Lauren wanted them to go. They both caught on quickly, though. We don't have ramps up to the sidewalk when you're crossing the streets on the way to the park. The dogs quickly picked up the routine to stop at the curb until Lauren said go and then slowly walk until she said stop (so that she could get the stroller off the curb) and then they would go again and repeat so Lauren could get the stroller up the curb on the other side...so proud of our four-legged babies!
In other news, Grandpa and Great-Grandma DeCoteau are on their way to visit, so we should get to see them tonight. We're excited to visit! Hope all is going well for everyone. Hugs and squishy cheekies to all! Don't worry if you don't get the squishy cheekies thing :)
